Today, remembering January 13, 1991, we listen to those who were in Sitkūnas that night. The radio station here became one of the strategic points of Lithuania's freedom. People who worked in Sitkūnas at that time remember the tension, silence and determination, accompanied by the hope that Lithuania would hold out.
Today, Sitkūnas silently bears witness to that great courage. These people are part of our history, living witnesses who, through their stories, pass on the value of freedom to new generations.
Translation of the exposition commemorating the events of January 13 in Sitkūnas into English.
